Anjuli Sears

Anjuli is a pediatric occupational therapist that has been working with kids in New Mexico since graduating from the UNM OT program in 2016. Anjuli is not a native New Mexican, but has fallen in love with the food, culture, and people of New Mexico. Anjuli has a passion for working on feeding challenges with kids and working in the home setting, but is excited to be a part of a community that allows every person in New Mexico a safe and supportive place to learn and grow. 

Roni Henderson

Roni is a dedicated mother of four boys, and pediatric registered nurse. Since completing her BSN in 2024, she has since found her passion working with medically complex children in the community. She is also a parent of a child with autism and developmental delays. She understands both perspectives of being the caregiver and the provider for children in this population. Her goal is to bridge the gap between healthcare, education, therapy, and family collaboration to make each child feel valued and supported.

Tara Garcia

Board President

Tara is a loving Mom of four who is passionate about making sure they have a safe and supportive community to learn and live in. She became connected to the Autistic community in New Mexico through her daughter and has a passion to pave a path not only for her daughter, but this community as a whole.  Tara believes if we approach our children with curiosity rather than trying to change them, they will live a happier, more confident and more fulfilling life. She is an amazing advocate for all of her kids as they navigate the school years and beyond. Tara understands the power of communication and the need to be regulated for connection and learning to take place.
